ENCOMPASS NEW YORK METRO
Encompass maintains two diverse fiber points-of-presence (PoPs) in New York City and continues to offer the largest video switching center in the northeastern U.S. Both of these key locations – 111 8th Avenue and 60 Hudson Street – support the demand for fiber contribution and distribution of broadcast video and can accommodate ASI, uncompressed HD routing as well as new developments for IP switching and transport over fiber. Encompass New York Metro has direct fiber access from local markets and venues such as NYSE, NASDAQ, United Nations and Barclays Center as well as connectivity to all major broadcasters, cable providers, carriers and studios. The NY Metro Technical Operations Center is located in the teleport control room at Encompass’ Glenbrook (Stamford, CT) facility. In addition, this dual and protected metro fiber network connects clients to the Global Interconnect Fiber Network that links all other Encompass sites.
